I finished this quilt back in August, and I am finally getting around to posting about it!  Times goes by so quickly. Making this quilt was a fun challenge for me because I decided to make up the pattern. In my head I thought it was going to be so easy, but I definitely made a few mistakes.

Staying up until 2 am working on this quilt seemed like a great idea in the moment! The result was finishing the quilt so that I could send it off to be quilted the next day. The consequence was ripping a hole in my fabric while I was unpicking! Let’s just say that midnight and unpicking quilts do not go together at all.  My mother taught me a “three strikes and you’re out rule” when sewing late. After three mistakes, you just need to put your project down and go to bed. Ripping a hole in my fabric was only my second sewing mistake, so I continued to stitch. I made it all the way until 2 am and I finished the quilt!

Isn't this quilting just yummy? My mother quilted this one for me. If you want her info, just send me a message!
