Hey everybody! As part of my Slot Canyon Project I am going to do a few posts about basic knots.  I’m starting with the figure 8 knot because it was the first one my dad taught me.  It is a very common climbing knot because it can be used to attach a rope to an anchor or harness.  It can also be used as a stopper knot or to join two ropes.
